Documentary: My Toxic Baby (at Toronto International Film Festival this September)

Premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival, My Toxic Baby follows director and new mother Min Sook Lee as she searches for “safe, sane and affordable ways” to raise her daughter in a toxic world.

According to the films website, “My Toxic Baby isn’t a cautionary tale telling you the ‘do’s and ‘don’ts’ of healthy parenting. Parents and mothers especially have enough to worry about without yet another voice making them feel inadequate. This is a personal essay that aims to broaden the options that are made available to parents in the context of the chemical world we live in today.”

If you’re attending the Toronto Film Festival, check it out its public screening on Friday September 11 (9:30 pm, Isabel Bader Theatre, 93 Charles St. West) or Saturday September 12 (1:00 pm, Jackman Hall, Art Gallery of Ontario, 317 Dundas St. West).
